Corrections to date:

  • Page xxx, last paragraph: "...Ken is a well-repsected..." should be "...Ken is a well-respected..."

  • Page 16, NOTE: "...that are on my recommended reading list in Appendix A." should be "...that are on my recommended reading list in Appendix G."

  • Page 311, Figure 9.9, General Elements: The value of the Field Name element is currently “VendState” – it should be “State”

  • Page 311, Figure 9.9, General Elements: The value of the Parent Table element is currently “Vendors” – it should be blank.

  • Page 323, first paragraph: the second instance of the word "redundant" is misspelled.

  • Page 359, Figure 10.37: The Building Number field in the Rooms table is a foreign key and should be designated as "FK." Its current designation is incorrect.

  • Page 371, Figure 10.48: The Position field in the Staff table should be deleted.

  • Page 378, Letter “d.”: Delete the last sentence in the accompanying paragraph. (“You’ll also adjust five elements in the Logical Elements category for the foreign key field specification.”)

  • Page 423, second paragraph, first sentence: “The answer to these questions will be help you define…” should be “The answer to these questions will help you define…”

  • Page 475: “Count(Product Name)” should be “Count(ProdName)”.

  • Page 476, Figure 12.20, under “Expression”: “Count(Product Name)” should be “Count(ProdName)”.

  • Page 513, Appendix A: the second question under "Chapter 1." The answer should read as follows: "An analytical database stores static data."
